Sadly it needs to be done, many horses are starving out there not knowing where to go or what to do when let out on the range. some are tortured by getting their brand cutt off and let out in Nevada. I mean really who would want to go to desperate measures for that? Obviously he did. Many want to hide from the truth and say it does not need to be done. But in the shadows it does, and it is still happening today. You can hide from that or accept it. If a plant was opened up in the U.S. it would be way more humane than in Mexico, where they have to travel 1,000 to 2,000 miles. IT is still happeneing TODAY no matter what you think. Horse slaughtering is not a abomination. Did you ever think to check out sites and facts NOT stated on a PETA website? Because they would force EVERYONE to completely stop riding and OWNING horses if it was allowed. Try looking up "humane horse slaughter", you may be surprized that it IS in fact possible. As for not contributing to the economy- did you not read the canadian horse slaughter article? They make OVER $20 MILLION just from France and Japan! Why has the US never let out how much we make from it? Because they know that annoying people like YOU will go up their butts and down their throats about it! Why do you think this issue hasn't been released to the general public so well, publicly before???
